Following a 30-year-track of caring for Panama and its nature.

Offsetting Project ‘Generation Forest’ in Panama.

In search for offsetting opportunities that are not only enduring but also proven to be effective, one project quickly caught our attention:
The Generation Forest in Panama.

The project is doing pioneering work in impact forestry, with an almost 30-year history and reforestation methodologies that are second to none.

Mend, Monitor, Multiply.

The Generation Forest is created by re-establishing permanent ecosystems on large areas previously classified as unusable and degraded land, seemingly devoid of any natural or economic value.

The reforested areas are then monitored with top-of-the-line technology. Partners with renowned scientific research institutions, such as the Yale School of Forestry, set benchmarks for measuring success over the long term.

A stable economic environment in Panama as well as the inclusion of local communities ensure that the long lastingness of the project is set in more than one stone.

Impact in Numbers.

Climate.

Since the beginning of the project, more than 25 million tonnes of CO2 have been removed from the atmosphere.

Nature.

10,000 hectares of new forest restore a once-lost biodiversity and have positive effects on both plant and animal life.

Social.

The living conditions of around 4,000 people in Panama are improved by lowering poverty and hunger, while raising sustainability within communities, decent work and economic growth.
